Day 10: Travel day
Today was pretty uneventful, so I’m going to keep this one brief (plus it’s late cause I was up chatting too late with some girls at the hostel.
I had a slow start to the morning with a Japanese breakfast and relaxed in the hotel for a while. I then went over to the train station to grab my next ride. I booked my tickets for Nagoya and Tokyo, but when my train came 45 minutes early I was confused. I showed someone my ticket and he said it was the right bus and I got on. It was not the right bus, but it was going to the right station, it was just a slower line. I was a little worried I’d miss my connection, but in the end I made it on time and got on the wrong train again, but was corrected that time.
A few long train rides gave me ample time to get some work done, which was nice and I checked into my hostel
I then spent a few hours wandering around the area and some nearby thrift shops! There are so many cool thrift shops in the area and it was really neat to check them out. Nothing was my size of course, but I don’t have room for anything anything else anyway so it’s alright.
I did get a delicious grape macron shaped like a dinosaur and a boba tea, so that was great
I came back to my hostel and spent the evening chatting with a few girls who are also traveling, one from the Netherlands and one from Germany. It was really nice to relax and we got tickets to go see the new studio ghibli movie Saturday morning even though it will be in Japanese and we won’t know what it’s saying. Lol, should be fun.
