Perth
After our sandwiches we headed into downtown Perth. We first
tried to go to the Perth museum and learned that google had no idea what it’s
talking about.
Please hold while I rant about Google Maps in Perth in particular: I do not know if all of Perth’s highways are new or what but Google Maps is absolutely useless in Perth. The highways are so confusing, often it not telling you to take ramps onto different highways. It thought the museum office was the actual museum. Every time I drive through Perth (now at least 6 times) I have missed at least one turn and had to circle back around in ways I have NEVER experienced in any other city. Okay rant over.
Anyway, we headed to downtown and found the museum square. We went to a few Art Galleries and wondered at the various and cool art both of professional and student artists, before getting coffee and discussing our next few days plans. With only a few days left of her trip Emma and I discussed the many possibilities. While we were both tired of driving, we were both a bit disappointed that our entire plan in the Margaret River region had gotten scrapped to poor weather. We debated for a bit spending the remaining time in Perth or biting the bullet and driving a few hours south to Marg, eventually deciding to go for it and try to hit as many of the spots we originally planned to go as we could.
