Perth

The next few days Dad and I spent around Perth. It was nice to have a few nights at the same place and feel a bit more relaxed. The first day we wandered around Freo (the suburb we are staying in), just doing a bit of local exploring, and getting him acquainted with the time change. We had lots of good food and made dinner together and enjoyed a relaxed day.

The following morning I arranged a trip to Kings Park, the botanical garden in Perth. Its an incredible garden in the middle of the city full of  native plants and  so many long and beautiful walking  paths. On one of  my  previous adventures  I  met  some  women  who worked for   the  botanic  gardens   and  they arranged a private tour for us. It was really amazing. First   we  toured the public  part  of the garden where we learned  about the design and the plants  and I oood and awed at the beautiful flowers. Then  we   wandered a bit on our own before meeting  up  with the head of science who showed us around the seed  storage and  propagation rooms and he told us all about the research they  are  doing  with  seed science. We saw the  seed storage facilities, learned about their  use  of  chemical smoke to propagate seeds, seeding mining sites, and so much more. It was  really  really  cool. Next  we were shown around the nursery where they grow  the  plants before  they  go into the gardens. They   also propagate  plants  for  conservation out plantings  and  had many  native plants of all types growing  out side and  in green houses. Everyone  we  met  there was  so incredibly passionate and  excited to share their work and show us around. I was so so glad we were able to make it work, and Dad didn't  even seem bored to death by  all the plant talk which is surprising.

After a   few days Lenovo agreed to fix  my  computer,   although I   had to get it to them which  meannt I  had  to be  in  one place.  Which we would not be, as we were beginning our journey east. We haven't  picked a destiation yet because so many of my plans are still out of my hands, but we knew we  needed to get east quickly.  So we picked   a city. Melbourne.  The new final destination and started  making our way east, hoping that my computer would make it and that my plans  would  coalesce.

Also, as my computer  degrades, the  spacear   ad  some  keys  are  o loger workig properly. As you read this  you may have  to iterpret as you  go. The longer I type t he more  it  is  finicky.
